Upon arrival in Tbilisi, check in to your hotel and settle in before joining us for an unforgettable walking tour through the historic Old Town.Start your tour from Metekhi Church. Perched on a cliff overlooking the Mtkvari (Kura) River, it is one of Tbilisi's oldest and most revered sites. The church has been destroyed and rebuilt multiple times, with the current structure dating back to the 13th century. Adjacent to the church stands a statue of King Vakhtang I Gorgasali, commemorating his role in founding Tbilisi. Walk down to Shardeni street renowned for its lively atmosphere, featuring a plethora of art galleries, boutique shops, cozy cafes, and lively bars.
Continue to explore Sioni Cathedral having a rich history dating back to the 5th century. The current structure was completed in the 7th century and has been a significant religious site ever since. Visit Anchiskhati Basilica - Tbilisi's oldest surviving church, Anchiskhati Basilica dates back to the 6th century. Located in the Old own, it showcases early Georgian Christian architecture and houses the revered Anchiskhati icon. Nearby you will see famous Marionette Theatre names after Rezo Gabriadze and clock tower. Then cross the Peace Bridge and take a walk in Rike Park. Enjoy the beautiful views of Tbilisi Old Town from a cable car towards Narikala Fortress (4thc), visit Mother of Kartli a 20-meter-high aluminum statue, symbolizing Georgia's welcoming nature with a bowl of wine in one hand, a sword in the other to demonstrate a strong defensing soul against enemies. Then go down to Abanotubani – a district famous for its traditional sulfur baths, where visitors can indulge in a therapeutic soak. Head to the Georgian Military Highway which is a 212 km artery that threads through the Caucasus Mountains, connecting Tbilisi to the Russian border at Larsi. This ancient route has witnessed centuries of trade, conflict, and cultural exchange. Our first stop is Ananuri Fortress: A 16th-century castle complex overlooking the Aragvi River, offering panoramic views and a glimpse into Georgia's feudal past. Then continue to Jinvali Reservoir and enjoy its turquoise waters, surrounded by lush green hills and rugged mountain ridges, creating a breathtaking landscape. Drive towards Kazbegi through Jvari (Cross) Pass - the highest point of the highway at 2,379 m., providing breathtaking vistas of snow-capped peaks and alpine meadows. Arrive in Kazbegi and enjoy Gergeti Trinity church (14th century) an architectural and spiritual beacon built at 2,170 meters above sea level is a cross-cupola church. Its isolated location on a steep mountain has made it a symbol of Georgia's resilience and faith.

Nestled along the meandering Rioni River, Kutaisi is Georgia's second-largest city and one of its oldest, with a history spanning over 3,600 years. Once the capital of ancient Colchis, the city exudes a blend of antiquity and modernity. Its tree-lined boulevards, vibrant markets, and bustling cafes create a lively atmosphere, while landmarks like the Bagrati Cathedral and the Gelati Monastery stand as testaments to its rich heritage. Kutaisi's charm lies in its ability to seamlessly weave the past with the present, offering visitors a glimpse into Georgia's soul.
Drive from Batumi to Imereti Regio Capital city. After arrival in Kutaisi check in to the hotel and then drive towards Gelati Monastery (12th c). Being a UNESCO World Heritage Site it epitomizes the "Golden Age" of Georgia. The monastery complex served as a center for science and education. Its architectural beauty is highlighted by smooth-hewn stone facades, blind arches, and a mosaic of the Virgin Mary flanked by archangels. After head to Prometheus Cave (closed on Mon) a natural wonder that captivates with its subterranean beauty. This 60 to 70-million-year-old karst cave stretches 1.8 kilometers in length and features six accessible chambers, each adorned with stalactites, stalagmites, and underground rivers. Later continue to Sataplia (closed on Mon) renowned for its well-preserved 120-million-year-old dinosaur footprints, offering a glimpse into the prehistoric past. Drive to Sighnaghi . Perched above the Alazani Valley, Sighnaghi offers panoramic views of the valley and the Caucasus Mountains. Founded in the 18th century the fortified city was developed as a refuge against enemy attacks. Here you can wander through cobblestone alleys lined with pastel-colored houses and vibrant balconies. Explore shops offering handmade carpets, traditional sweets like churchkhela, and, of course, local wines. Visit a local Winery and take masterclasses of Georgian traditional bread baking and Churchkhela (Georgian traditional sweet with nuts and wine juice) making. Then drive to Bodbe Nunnery which was built in dedication to Saint Nino, the 4th-century evangelist who brought Christianity to Georgia. The monastery is a serene and spiritual place surrounded by lush gardens and offering stunning views of the Alazani Valley.
